Safety Orientation

This is a free 2.5-hour session to get you acquainted with safety procedures in our workshop. 

You must be a fully paid member of the Kansas City Woodworkers’ Guild at the Sawdust Maker, Woodworker Plus, or Benefactor level.

You do not need a Green Name Badge to attend. Successfully completing the Safety Orientation will result in your Green Name Badge being issued!

Class Size: Up to 20 students

Before You Sign Up:

To participate in this program you should have:

• Received a Welcome email from the Membership Director (dir.membership@kcwg.net) that provides instructions, link, and password for the online test. (Request the safety test password from dir.safety@kcwg.net if you cannot find your welcome email.)
• Studied these Safety Rules.
• Completed the on-line KCWG safety test before signing up for the orientation session.
• Passing the KCWG Safety Test by at least 90% is a PREREQUISITE.
• Upon completion of the on-line safety test, you were prompted to print the results, which must be brought to the safety orientation.
• Printed the Liability Waiver, signed it, and bring it with you to the orientation.

Please show up 15-30 minutes early on the day of the orientation program.

This Orientation is free, but the test results and the waiver must be presented at the session. If the safety test has not been completed you will be rescheduled.
